'I For India': Akshay Kumar urges to not lose hope amid Coronavirus through a poem, his 'Sooryavanshi' co-star Katrina Kaif appeals for better protective gears for healthcare workers

As the country is currently fighting against Coronavirus pandemic, filmmakers Karan Johar and Zoya Akhtar organised a virtual concert to raise funds for relief activities. Titled I For India, the concert saw the who's who of Bollywood, Hollywood and sports fraternity participate. Joining the brigade was Akshay Kumar. The superstar who has been spreading awareness about the novel COVID-19 and has extended financial support to those in need, narrated a beautiful poem written by Manoj Muntashir.

Akshay, through the poem, encouraged his countrymen to not lose hope and stay strong for another few days till we emerge victorious against the virus. With a smile of hope on his face, the superstar urged the nation to remain united and do their bit amid the crisis.

Katrina Kaif, on the other hand, appealed for better protection gears and equipment for healthcare officials and essential services staff. The actress urged fans to donate as much as they can for a better India.
