COVID-19 pandemic: Sonu Sood opens doors of his Juhu hotel for doctors, nurses and healthcare workers

The novel coronavirus death toll across the world has crossed 80,000. With India in the third week of its 21-day lockdown, the total number of confirmed cases of novel coronavirus surged to 5,194, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said. Maharashtra remained the worst hit state with a total number of positive cases rising to 1,018. 

In the wake of the pandemic, several B-town celebs have come forth to extend financial aid to the government in battling the crisis. Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, Ayushmann Khurrana, Vicky Kaushal, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra, Rohit Shetty, Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar and several others have already donated to PM Modi’s PM CARES Fund and state relief funds.

Now actor Sonu Sood has lent his support for relief from the deadly COVID-19 and according to a portal, he has arranged for stay of doctors, nurses and health workers including para medical staff, at his hotel in Mumbai's Juhu area. Reportedly, Sonu believes that it is important for everyone to stand firmly in support of the medical staff across the country as they are fighting the coronavirus battle on the forefront and bravely risking their lives to save the country.
