Coronavirus Lockdown: Karan Johar urges people to stay home and safe

The sudden outbreak of the deadly Coronavirus aka COVID-19 has brought the whole world to a standstill. With the number of infected increasing at an alarming rate per day, the Central and State Governments have enabled a complete lockdown in the entire country. Apart from this, officials of the State Governments are urging citizens to stay home, be safe and follow social distancing. Now, as we complete nearly 10 days into a complete lockdown of 21 days, Karan Johar, in association with a leading newspaper asked people to not venture out unnecessarily. 

Karan, on his Twitter account, shared a picture of his appeal and asked people to stay home and avoid visiting crowded places till April 14. The filmmaker, otherwise, has ensured to extend his helping hand to those affected by the lockdown and donated to relief funds set by the Prime Minister and Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

Apart from Karan, celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma and others asked people to stay home and follow the instructions laid down by health advisories until the situation comes back to normalcy.

Workwise, post the lockdown ends, Karan will start shooting for this upcoming film Takht starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anil Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, Ranveer Singh, Anil Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
