'Can we make people more alert rather than turning it into a holiday period?' asks Kangana Ranaut slamming celebrities for their fun social media videos

Ever since the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi and Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray announced a complete lockdown due to Coronavirus from the midnight of March 24, B-Town has come to a standstill. With shoots stalled, gyms, malls and other public places shut amidst a curfew-like situation all across, they are currently homebound. Celebrities, time and again have been sharing videos of them sweeping the floor and washing utensils. While these clips have taken the Internet by storm, Kangana Ranaut is clearly miffed with the fact that some aren't understanding the seriousness of the situation.

The actress currently enjoying her quarantine period in Manali, her hometown with her family, spoke to a leading news channel about Coronavirus, its impact and the lack of seriousness that celebrities have. Kangana slammed the videos wherein celebrities are doing house chores and making fun clips. She said spreading awareness is the need of the hour. "Can we please understand where we stand and make people more alert rather than turning it into a holiday period," Kangana told.
