Watch: Varun Dhawan raps about 21-days lockdown, urges people to practice self-isolation amid Coronavirus outbreak

The Coronavirus pandemic has brought the entire world to a standstill. Taking a very proactive stand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued lockdown in the entire country for 21 days. The entertainment industry has already put a halt on all shooting and production. Amid this lockdown, the celebs are taking to social media and lending support to the government’s initiative and appreciating the prompt action of PM Modi. Now, Varun Dhawan has found an innovative way to drive home the message of social distancing and staying at home. 

In a video shared on his Instagram account, Varun turns rapper and urges fans to stay indoors and not venture out on streets. The video features parts of PM Modi’s address to the nation in which he announced the 21-day lockdown across the country to control the Coronavirus outbreak. Varun captioned the video, “#LOCKDOWN #vararaps Stay indoors stay safe Thank you @tanishk_bagchi @ericpillai @dipraj_jadhav_edits @go_addy.”

The video has garnered immense applause. Netizens as well as celebs like Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor have appreciated Varun’s rap. Arjun commented on the video and asked, “I just want to know who the cameraman is…” while Aayush Sharma advised Varun to release the track. Badshah wrote, “Let them know varun da1.” However, Karan reposted the video on his own Instagram. 

Varun ended his rap by saying. “Janta curfew rocks.” Besides Varun, several celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Kartik Aaryan have put out videos to request people to not venture out and take the lockdown seriously. They urged people to maintain self-isolation, self-quarantine and social distancing amid the Coronavirus pandemic.
