The sudden outbreak of the deadly Coronavirus aka COVID-19 has brought the whole world to a standstill. With the number of infected increasing at an alarming rate per day, the Indian Government, as well as the Maharashtra State Government, has announced a sort of shutdown across various states. Now, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, in his recent speech, addressed the citizens to stay at home today and called for a 'Janta Curfew'. Supporting this decision of Mr.Modi, Bollywood celebrities have joined hands to request their fans to stay at home and be safe.
Mr. Modi, under the initiative of Janta Curfew, asked the citizens to clap, blow a conch shell or use utensils to make noise as an ode to those who have been working tirelessly for the safety of the city. As the clock struck 5 pm, as instructed, Bollywood along with others, came out in their balconies to thank the authorities. Arjun Kapoor and Malaika were spotted in their balcony. The couple was seen clapping for the authorities.

Rakul Preet Singh lauded the efforts of essential services officials who worked day in and out for the citizens.
