CONFIRMED: Richa Chadha's and Ali Fazal’s wedding postponed to later half of 2020 owing to COVID-19 pandemic

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Richa Chadha's and Ali Fazal’s wedding has been delayed. The wedding was earlier scheduled for mid April. Confirming the same, their spokesperson said, "Given the current scenario and the unfortunate turn of events owing to the COVID-19 pandemic globally, Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha have decided to postpone their wedding functions to the later half of 2020 tentatively. They wish for everyone to be healthy and safe and at no cost would want their friends, families and well wishers to be affected."

For the unversed, the star couple had applied for a marriage registration at a court in Mumbai last month. The actors' spokesperson had then said,  "Currently, only the date for the registration has been taken. By process the window that is valid is for three months from the date that has been allotted. The couple are working towards an official registration in the last week of April, post which the celebrations will follow. All we can say is that it's a happy occasion and all the parties involved are elated."
