Dilip Kumar takes precautionary measures to keep Coronavirus at bay, under quarantine

The outbreak of Coronavirus across the world has left people in a state of worry. While schools, malls, gyms and other public places are instructed to remain shut till March 31, the film industry also has suffered. With shoots coming to a halt, celebrities are advised to stay at home safely. Considering the seriousness and intensity of the current scenario, Dilip Kumar is ensuring to keep the virus at bay. The veteran actor aged 97 is under complete isolation and quarantine as a safety measure against the novel COVID-19 pandemic. The tragedy King of Bollywood, on Monday, updated his fans about his health and informed them about the self-isolation. He told that his wife Saira Banu is making sure that he doesn't catch the infection.

"I am under complete isolation and quarantine due to the #CoronavirusOutbreak. Saira has left nothing to chance, ensuring I do not catch any infection," the veteran actor tweeted.

Kumar, in yet another tweet, asked his fans to stay safe and follow guidelines laid down by health organisations. "I appeal to all of you to protect yourself and others by staying indoors as much as possible. The #CoronavirusOutbreak transcends all boundaries and borders. Follow guidelines issued by health departments, protect yourself and others by limiting your exposure to others," he added.

Kumar, a veteran Bollywood actor, starred in films like Andaz, Aan, Madhumati, Devdas and Mughal-E-Azam.
