Shilpa Shetty-starrer 'Nikamma' postponed indefinitely; Aamir Khan to return from Punjab, calls off next schedule of 'Laal Singh Chaddha'

Last week, the final schedule of Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt was pushed apart from Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer Sooryavanshi deferred its release. In fact, the trailer launch of Ranveer Singh-starrer ’83 was also called off. 

Now according to a report in a leading daily, the Abhimanyu Dassani-starrer Nikamma, which marks Shilpa Shetty Kundra's comeback, has also met with the same fate as. its 10-day final schedule, which was to kick off this week, has been postponed indefinitely. he team was supposed to film a love song and a few scenes on a set in a city studio. When the number of diagnosed cases started to increase, they thought it would be safer to postpone the shoot till the situation improves,” the daily quoted a source as saying. Considering the safety of people, the set of the film will be put together again when shooting resumes.

On the other hand, Aamir Khan has wrapped up the Amritsar schedule of Laal Singh Chaddha but has called off the next schedule of the film, co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan. “Since a major chunk of the film is being shot at real locations, the next schedule will be decided on a later date, after analysing the situation on-ground,” informed the source. While Kareena Kapoor was back in the city on Saturday, Aamir is expected to return to Mumbai today.

As per trade analysts, the Hindi film industry will face crores of losses due to delay in releases and production.
