Sonam Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Kartik Aaryan and Varun Dhawan raise awareness about coronavirus, ask their fans to stay calm during the outbreak

The deadly coronavirus outbreak was declared as a global pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO) on Thursday with at least 74 cases confirmed in India. Ever since then, several B-town celebs have urged their fans to stay calm and be safe during the outbreak in India. 

Sonam Kapoor Ahuja on Thursday raised awareness about the COVID-19 and shared with her Twitter fam the ways to battle the pandemic. "Hygiene is the best way to avoid the Coronavirus. Washing hands thoroughly, avoid touching your face and stay away from crowded areas," she tweeted.

Meanwhile, Parineeti Chopra posted a a widely shared Facebook post of Cristina Higgins, an American living in Bergamo, Italy. "Guys stop being overconfident and read this. Stop calling it a hype on social media. Stop saying it only affects the elderly. Stop saying that the death rate of flu is more. Stop thinking you are smarter than the virus. You are not. Coronavirus is contagious and unstoppable. Be smart and safe (sic)," she wrote. 

Kartik Aaryan, who has shooting for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 in Lucknow, recently posted a video where the entire crew has been shooting with masks on. He also urged fans to stay safe and advised them to wash hands.

Last but not the least, Varun Dhawan shared a photo of the Earth with a mask on and hard-hittingly wrote, "I think it is time we realise that the human race has been extremely selfish."
