Amitabh Bachchan gets a remodelled vintage Ford Prefect from a friend, revives the memory of his 'first car'

It won't be wrong to say that Amitabh Bachchan is one of the active superstars, not just on the work front, but on social media too. The actor, who regularly connects with his fans through the microblogging site Twitter has a unique and interesting tale to tell every time. From family to film sets and even childhood memories, he takes us along a fun journey. Similarly, during the wee hours of Monday, the Piku actor shared a picture on his Twitter with a vintage car behind him. Bright yellow in colour with an old-world charm, the automobile brought a huge smile to Amitabh's face. 

Tweeting about receiving the car, Amitabh couldn't hold back his excitement and emotions as he said he is 'speechless' in the presence of this vintage beauty. "There are times when you are speechless .. I am now .. been trying to express, but nothing comes out .. .. a story of times gone by .. a gesture beyond time ..," Amitabh wrote on his Twitter with a picture with the car. While nothing much about the backstory of the click was mentioned on the microblogging platform, but the megastar shared a heartwarming tale on his blog.

Amitabh, on his blog, mentioned that his family owned a similar car, a Ford Prefect, back in Allahabad, which was apparently their first. He further told that his friend, Anant, who hosts the 26/11 event each year, sprung a surprise for him. Amitabh mentioned that after searching for the car for months together, he found it and got it painted, just like the one he owned in Allahabad. In addition to this, he stated that the same number plate was fixed to add to the delight. Overwhelmed, Amitabh said he is 'struggling to put the moment in words'.

Workwise, he will be seen in Shoojit Sircar's Gulabo Sitabo with Ayushmann Khurrana, Nagraj Manjule's Jhund and Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra
