Akshay Kumar, Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan are collaborating for the first time for Aanand L. Rai's heartland romance titled Atrangi Re. With a stellar cast being roped in for the filmmaker's next after the debacle of Zero, has left fans excited. Now, after all the prep and pre-production work, the makers of Atrangi Re kickstarted its shoot in Varanasi today (March 5).
According to reports, Sara and Dhanush will begin the filming in Varanasi first. Akshay, who is currently gearing up for the release of Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi, will join the team in April post fulfilling his prior commitments. Speaking of Sara's character, the buzz has it that the actress will be seen in dual roles as the film will travel parallelly in two different eras. Akshay will reportedly sport a different look that is being worked on. Atrangi Re marks Dhanush's reunion with Aanand after Raanjhanaa in 2013.
Atrangi Re will be backed by Bhushan Kumar under his banner T-Series and co-produced by Colour Yellow Productions and Cape Of Good Films. The music will be by A R Rahman and the film will be written by Himanshu Sharma. The film will release on Valentine's Day 2021.
