Prabhas, on February 26, sent his fans into a zone of excitement with the announcement of his next film with Mahanati fame director Nag Ashwin. The yet-to-be-titled film, needless to say, stands tall amongst the highly anticipated ones of 2021. Well, with a pan-India superstar like Prabhas being roped in to play the lead, it is sure that the makers are in search of an actress who matches him in terms of popularity and of course acting. While the formal announcement regarding the female lead is yet to be made, a report on an entertainment portal indicated that Deepika Padukone is in talks for the film.
According to the report, Nag Ashwin was keen on roping in Deepika for his National Award-winning Telugu film-Mahanati (2018) but things apparently failed to materialised and Keerthy Suresh created history. However, Nag Ashwin was looking for the right opportunity to approach the Piku actress for his next, if the report is to be believed. Well, if the buzz is true, the film will be a dream come true for cinema watchers and fans.

Prabhas, in Nag Ashwin's film, is said to play the role of a superhero and the makers will take it on floors later this year. The pan-world film will be financed by C. Aswini Dutt of Vyjayanthi Entertainments. The film is eyeing a 2021 release.
Workwise, Prabhas is currently shooting for a yet-to-be-titled film along with Jaan starring Pooja Hegde. He was last seen in Saaho with Shraddha Kapoor. On the other hand, Deepika will be seen in Kabir Khan's '83 co-starring her husband Ranveer Singh. She will shortly begin shooting for Shakun Batra's next with Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi. Apart from that, she has the Hindi remake of The Intern with Rishi Kapoor and Madhu Mantena's Mahabharat in the pipeline.
