Irfan’s upcoming film Angrezi Medium is one of the most anticipated releases of the year. The film has already generated a lot of buzz with its quirky trailer. The film will not only see the ace actor returning to the screens but also see him share screen space with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Radhika Madan for the first time. Apart from these three, Angrezi Medium also stars Pankaj Tripathi in a cameo.
While the fans of Irrfan and Pankaj are extremely elated to see the two powerhouse performers coming together, it seems the latter is also very excited about the prospect. Pankaj told a leading daily that he has always been in awe of Irrfan and went as far as to call him his ‘guru’. He said that his cameo in Angrezi Medium is his ‘guru dakshina’ to Irrfan.

Talking to the daily, Pankaj said, “I’ve always been inspired by Irrfan’s performances as an actor. He has had a huge impact on my life, especially with his performances from Haasil, Maqbool, The Warrior, and Pan Singh Tomar. My guru and also my senior from the National School of Drama, I have always wanted to impact audiences the way he does. His contribution has been greatly acknowledged in the Indian Cinema and my role in this film is almost like my ‘guru dakshina’ to him.”
Angrezi Medium is all set to hit the screens on March 13, 2020.
