Alia Bhatt in talks with 'Hindi Medium' director Saket Chaudhary for his next social drama backed by Sajid Nadiadwala?

Alia Bhatt, over the last seven years in Bollywood, has proven to be a force to reckon. With each passing film, the actress seems to shatter all the records she has set, emerging as a true performer and an actress par excellence. Alia, needless to say, is every filmmaker's dream. While the 26-year-old is neck-deep busy shooting for multiple releases and is gearing up to take Karan Johar's Takht on floors, reports suggest that she is in talks for a social drama laced with humour. According to reports of a leading daily, Alia has liked the script of Hindi Medium director Saket Chaudhary's next. The yet-to-titled film, as per sources close to the development, will be backed by Sajid Nadiadwala and Alia will be signing on the dotted lines soon. A source close to the development informed the daily that a leading actor opposite Alia is yet to be brought on board and the team will lock the shooting schedule once the cast is in place. Saket, if the report is to be believed, has begun the recce for suitable locations.

“Saket has been working on the script for a while now. He was keen on casting Alia, who liked the script and has given her nod. She is expected to sign on the dotted line shortly. Meanwhile, hunt for the leading man is still on. The team will finalise the shooting schedule once the entire cast is locked. Saket has also begun initial recce for appropriate locations,” the source told.
