Ayushmann Khurrana, with the recently released Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, has taken a step ahead to normalise the conversation of LGBTQ+ in India with a dash of humour. Also starring Jitendra Kumar as Ayushmann's partner, the film has been garnering appreciation not just across the country but on global platforms too. The President of the United States, Donald Trump, before Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan released, heaped praises on its content and reviewed it as 'great'. Well, a word of praise from Trump was like winning half the battle for the makers of the film which is a sequel to 2017's Shubh Mangal Saavdhan starring Ayushmann and Bhumi Pednekar.
While Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is enjoying a great run in theatres, an elated Ayushmann responded to Trump's tweet. The actor told that it feels great to receive a thumbs up from the US President and he also hoped that the latter will work towards upholding LGBTQ rights in his country. "It was great to see a reaction from US President Donald Trump. I certainly hope and wish that this comment is President Trump's gesture of outreach towards the LGBTQ community and that he will persistently and constantly work towards upholding LGBTQ rights in his country," Ayushmann told.
