Taapsee Pannu's upcoming film Thappad made a strong impact on the audience with its powerful trailer. This Anubhav Sinha directorial that proves that slapping is violence and not an expression of love is standing tall amidst much fanfare. Now, as Thappad is inching closer to its release date, the makers of the film released yet another trailer, but with a twist. The second trailer of Thappad was released on Tuesday.
The trailer began with a glimpse into Taapsee aka Amrita's happy married life with Pavail Gulati. As shown in the previous trailer, Pavail slaps Taapsee at a party owing to professional stress. Shocked by the slap, Taapsee breaks the fourth wall, asking the audience whether they are waiting to watch the rest of the trailer. She then says that slapping isn't itni si baat and urged the viewers to report the trailer on social media platforms to make it the most reported one. She further stated that videos containing violence against women shouldn't be encouraged.

Thappad, apart from Taapsee and Pavail, stars Dia Mirza, Ratna Pathak Shah, Tanvi Azmi, Geetika Vidya, Maya Sarao, Naila Grewal, Kumud Mishra and Gracy Goswami. Thappad is produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series along with Anubhav and Benaras Mediaworks. It is scheduled to release on February 28, 2020.
