Imtiaz Ali is one of the finest filmmakers of our times and there is no doubt to it. His love stories are very modern and deal with modern-day challenges and conflicts. He has till date directed some of the best actors in showbiz like Ranbir Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan. And hence, working with this director in his romcoms is surely a big deal for the actors.
In an interview with a portal, Imtiaz Ali and Kartik Aaryan spoke dime to a dozen about their upcoming flick, Love Aaj Kal. The expectations from this film are already high and the director-actor duo are leaving no stone unturned. In the interview when Ali was asked how was it working with Kartik Aaryan, and his views on the hunk as an actor, here’s what he had to say.
He said, “Kartik as an actor is extraordinary. He is emotionally intelligent, relatively and has an interest in people. It all comes from interest. There is this saying in Latin that, ‘Talent and Interest has the same word/Common word.’ You are always talented in the area of your interest. He has got a certain rhythm as an actor, which is unique. Hard working and extremely helpful. Which I have seen in SRK. Both are very dedicated.” Now comparing Kartik Aaryan to Shah Rukh Khan is surely a big compliment for the heartthrob of the nation.
Imtiaz Ali rightly said that talent and interest go hand-in-hand. Aaryan’s interest in entertaining his audiences has been evident from his first film itself and well his talent has just got better with each film. Love Aaj Kal releases on February 14 and the actor will be seen in two avatars – Raghu from the ‘90s and Veer from this decade. He will be seen romancing Sara Ali Khan and debutante Ayushi Sharma in the film. Can’t wait for this Valentine’s treat to hit the big screen.
