It won't be wrong to say Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan in the central roles is one of the highly anticipated films in recent times. The mythological fantasy project that revolves around a mythological tale of Shiva who can emit fire from his hands has had avid cinema watchers excited to watch the magic unveil on the silver screen. However, Brahmastra became the talk of the town for numerous release date delays and fans were awaiting a formal announcement with bated breath. Brahmastra, which was supposed to be released in December this year, got pushed to Summer 2020, owing to heavy post-production work. Now, finally, this Ayan directorial that brings real couple Ranbir-Alia together will release on December 4, 2020. Well, yes. Karan Johar, who is backing Brahmastra, announced the release date through Instagram.
Karan, in the announcement post, shared a picture of Ranbir, Alia and Amitji. "It's final! Brahmstra releases on 4th December, 2020 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada!" Karan wrote. For the unversed, Brahmastra will be a trilogy and this one of the first of them.
Brahmastra, apart from Ranbir, Alia and Amitabh, features Mouni Roy, Nagararjun and Dimple Kapadia in important roles. Shah Rukh Khan is said to be a part of the film in an important cameo and has shot for the same at a studio in Mumbai. Brahmastra is produced by Karan under his banner Dharma Productions.
