With a briefcase in his hand, Ajay Devgn as football coach Syed Abdul Rahim aims a perfect goal in 'Maidaan' first look posters

Ajay Devgn's upcoming sports-drama Maidaan is one of the highly anticipated films of the year and why not. With a stellar cast including Priyamani and directed by Badhaai Ho fame Amit Sharma, the projects stands tall amid much fanfare. As Maidaan is currently in the filming stage, Ajay, who plays the role of the football coach Syed Abdul Rahim in his biopic, teased fans with a glimpse into his first look poster and now, on Thursday, he unveiled the same on social media platforms.

In one of the two posters, we can see Ajay with the football team as he briefs them ahead of the match. With a focused gaze, the actor looks impressive. Speaking of the second poster, Ajay is seen dressed in trousers and a shirt with a briefcase in his hand. Kicking the football towards its goal, he seems effortless with the techniques of the game.

Maidaan orbits around the golden years of Indian football between 1951 and 1962. The film is presented by Zee Studios and Boney Kapoor. It is produced by Boney, Akash Chawla and Arunava Joy Sengupta. The screenplay and dialogues are written by Saiwyn Quadros and Ritesh Shah respectively. Maidaan, apart from Ajay, stars Priyamani and is scheduled to release on November 27, 2020.
