Raj & DK break their silence on film with Shah Rukh Khan, confirm that he 'loved one of their favourite scripts'

Shah Rukh Khan, ever since he has taken a break from films, the buzz surrounding his next has been doing the rounds quite frequently. While the speculation that the 54-year-old superstar has given his nod to Rajkumar Hirani's upcoming project, reports, a while ago, suggested that he is in talks with Raj & DK too. With an official confirmation awaited from Shah Rukh, the filmmakers, during an interview, confirmed that the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai actor has loved one of their 'favourite' scripts. The duo who has been associated with blockbusters in the past like Stree and Go Goa Gone, informed that the film is still in the works and collaboration with Shah Rukh can be expected in the future. In addition to this, Raj & DK revealed the advice Shah Rukh gave them with respect to the story and the treatment of the film.

"We just told him a story that we wanted to say and he immediately loved it," DK told. "He did say ‘your script is great, it is important to keep the script intact. So whatever happens in that journey, make sure the script remains what you guys wanted it to be. Make the film it should be, don’t be bogged down by the star or actor in it’," Raj added. "That’s his way of saying that even if I offer suggestions, don’t feel compelled to take it,” DK continued.

Raj aka Raj Nidimoru, in the same interview, told that post many meetings, Shah Rukh had the same thoughts about it and said it will be exciting if the filmmaker duo can pull it off with the superstar. "After many, many meetings, he’d still say the same. I think it’s wonderful that he is so open to it. It is one of our favourite scripts we have been holding on, thinking let’s do it at the right time, whenever. It's exciting if we can pull it off with him," Raj said.

As per initial reports, the film is said to be a stylish action-thriller with dashes of quirk and humour. Sources close to the development revealed that an international crew will be roped in for the stunts. Well, with this update, let's wait for the fun to unravel.
