Love Aaj Kal, Imtiaz Ali’s much-anticipated romance starring Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan in the lead, presents a contemporary and relatable portrayal of two stories- one set in Udaipur in the early 90s and the other in modern day Delhi, as they interact to learn (or perhaps unlearn!) from each other the different facets of love, commitment and relationships.
The first song from the film Shayad has been unveiled by the makers today and it reunited reunites filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, composer Pritam and lyricist Irshad Kamil in what promises to be an exciting musical journey! The song Shayad brings out the innocence of first love and Sara-Kartik and Arushi Sharma bring the mush and rush of young affection.
Aptly timed for this Valentine season, the song Shayad from Love Aaj Kal will celebrate the different facets of being in love and its expression 'then and now'. The track has been sung by Arijit Singh and makes for a very melodious and soulful rendition that will definitely appeal to all.
Love Aaj Kal is a remake of Saif Ali Khan’s and Deepika Padukone’s 2009 hit film that was also helmed by Imtiaz. The remake is slated to release on Valentine’s Day 2020.
