Vijay Deverakonda, with the massive success of his Telugu film Arjun Reddy, not just achieved global recognition but became one of our nation's crushes. With a huge female fan following not just in the public, but also in Bollywood, Vijay is the current talk of the town. Now, as the handsome star is gearing up for the release of World Famous Lover, he began shooting for his next project. Vijay will be teaming up with renowned South filmmaker Puri Jagannadh. The film went on floors on Monday with a mahurat pooja in Mumbai.
Speaking of this project, it is Puri's immediate next after delivering the award-winning film iSmart Shankar. The yet-to-be-titled film will be produced by Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta under the banner Dharma Productions. Charmme Kaur will be co-producing it. Talking more about the venture, the South filmmaker is eyeing a pan-India release and will showcase Vijay in a never-seen-before avatar. For the same, it is being said that Puri took utmost care about the actor's look and worked on his physique too. Vijay, apart from focusing on a strict diet, learnt mixed martial arts and other fight forms from Thailand.

Apart from Vijay, the film will star Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, Vishu Reddy, Aali and Getup Srinu. In association with Puri Jagannadh Touring Talkies and Puri Connects, the project will be an action entertainer jointly produced by Puri Jagannadh, Charmme, Karan and Apoorva.
