I would not have a child outside marriage, every child needs both parents: Neena Gupta on depriving daughter Masaba Gupta of a father’s love, says she suffered

Veteran actress Neena Gupta has been on a roll ever since she enthralled everyone with her nuanced performance in 2018’s Badhaai Ho starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Sanya Malhotra, Gajraj Rao and Surekha Sikri. The actress who took to social media to ask for work on July 27, 2017, has six lucrative projects in the pipeline. Her film The Last Color also was much appreciated and critically acclaimed. In a recent interview with a leading daily, Neena spoke about her future projects, her style, her daughter Masaba and her life decisions.

During the interview, she was asked about one decision that she regrets taking and would like to turn the clock back on, she said becoming an unwed mother. She said, “I would not have a child outside marriage. Every child needs both parents. Neena gave birth to her daughter Masaba Gupta out of wedlock. Masaba’s father is the famous West Indies cricketer Viv Richards. Masaba is an acclaimed fashion designer today and shares a cordial relationship with her father.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Neena will be next seen in Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhaan, where she reunites with Gajraj and Ayushmann. She also has Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, Panga, Nikkhil Advani’s film with Arjun Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh, Sanjay Mishra’s Gwalior and Kabir Khan’s ’83 where she will play Ranveer Sigh’s mother.
