'Working with him is always fun,' says Boman Irani on playing Ranveer Singh's father In YRF's 'Jayeshbhai Jordaar'

Ranveer Singh and Yash Raj Films are coming together on what Ranveer has called ‘a miracle script’ penned by debutant writer-director Divyang Thakkar. The first-timer is directing Ranveer in a humourous entertainer Jayeshbhai Jordaar set in Gujarat and the superstar will be seen playing the role of a Gujarati man for the first time. Ranveer, who is neck-deep in shooting for the film, recently travelled to Gujarat to shoot the second schedule of the film along with his heroine Shalini Pandey, the Arjun Reddy fame girl who is making her big Bollywood debut with YRF.

Now, there is another big news to start our day with. Months after he wrapped up the shoot of '83, Boman Irani is joining Ranveer on this film set again. The veteran actor has been brought on board Jayeshbhai Jordaar as the leading man's father in the comedy.

Describing the actor as a powerhouse performer, Irani said, "Working with Ranveer is always fun. As an artist, he gives his all in every scene and it is gratifying to creatively collaborate with such people." He added that the father-son equation depicted in the film is far from conventional, and takes the narrative forward. Irani, who is expected to join the Gujarat schedule soon, said he is eager to bring alive debutant director Divyang Thakkar's "rare find" of a script. "Divyang is a writer and director to watch out for. He has written something thought-provoking and delivered it in the most entertaining manner," he said.

Producer Maneesh Sharma said, "His body of work speaks volumes about his acting prowess. His presence is invaluable as he livens up every scene with his unique touch."
