Sajid Nadiadwala confirms Salman Khan's 'Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali' to release on Eid 2021, followed by 'Kick 2' in December 2021

Salman Khan, on January 10, gave his fans a New Year surprise by announcing his new film. Titled Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, the actor booked Eid 2021 at the theatres, leaving fans excited. Now, as the film is yet to go on floors, the producer of the project, Sajid Nadiadwala, in an interview with a leading daily, confirmed that it will hit the screens prior to Salman's yet another highly anticipated venture-Kick 2. The veteran producer told that he started working on Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali before Kick 2 and revealed that the latter will open at theatres in December 2021. Adding further, he said the audience will love Salman's avatar in Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali which will have a different approach. The film is said to go on floors by the end of this year.

“Salman and I are collaborating after six years and it feels like our Judwaa days are back. I had started writing Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali even before the Kick sequel. It’s a film with a very different approach and we are sure the audience will love Salman in this avatar we have planned. Kick 2 will happen in December 2021, I am in the process to finish writing the script,” Sajid told.

A source close to the film informed the daily that Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali will be a family drama blended with action. It was further mentioned that Salman instantly gave his positive nod post the narration as the character is tailormade for him. “It’s essentially a family drama with lots of action too. The narration took place early last week and Salman gave his nod in the first meeting itself as the script is tailormade for his image,” the source added.

Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali is directed by Farhad Samji and the story is by Sajid who is also producing it under the banner Nadiadwala Grandsons. As per reports, Kriti Sanon will be paired opposite Salman.
