Farhan Akhtar, after the unprecedented success of the sports drama Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, is back at the genre with Toofan. Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the film will feature Farhan as a pugilist. Ever since Toofan was announced, the hype has been snowballing every day, leaving fans wanting for more updates regarding the film. Now as the nation walked into the new year, the makers gave a pleasant surprise to the audience by unveiling yet another look of the actor on social media platforms.
In the look that was shared, Farhan is inside the boxing ring, ready to fight it out. With a tough and intense face, the actor is all set to take the theatres by storm, literally. Farhan, with this picture, has indeed proven that a lot of hard work has gone behind the jaw-dropping transformation and we can't help but admire him. "When life gets harder, you just get stronger. Iss saal #Toofan uthega. Releasing on 2.10.2020!" the makers wrote.
Farhan, for the role, received intense training from Drew Neal. To keep his fans updated on the project, the actor shared videos and pictures from prep sessions on his social media account and gave a glimpse into the efforts that went behind the training. With Toofan, Farhan will be collaborating with Rakeysh for the second time after their blockbuster film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag in 2013. Apart from Farhan, Toofan stars Paresh Rawal as the former's on-screen coach and Mrunal Thakur.
Rakeysh directorial Toofan is an Excel Entertainment production in association with ROMP pictures. The film will be hitting the screens on October 2, 2020.
