Varun Dhawan proves he is a class act, steps in last minute to perform at an awards show without prior rehearsal

Ever since he made his Bollywood debut in 2012 in Karan Johar directorial Student of the Year, Varun Dhawan has proved himself to be a class act. The past week was full of glitz and glamour as the Star Screen Awards 2019 took place. Everyone from Ranveer Singh to Ayushmann Khurrana, Taapsee Pannu to Bhumi Pednekar gave scintillating performances but it was Varun who left the organizers impressed. Apparently, he stepped in last minute for a performance that too without any rehearsal.

Varun who has been shooting non-stop for his upcoming film Coolie No.1 opposite Sara Ali Khan received a last-minute frantic call from the channel where they requested him to attend and perform at the grand event as an actor had backed out at the last minute. Since the actor has a good rapport with the channel he agreed to step in at the last moment.

Varun who was shooting from 6.30 am for his Dad David Dhawan’s film Coolie No.1 went straight to the awards function at night and recorded his act without any rehearsals at all. He just went and performed and also danced on a song from his upcoming film Street Dancer 3D. He did not make an appearance at the red carpet but he surely made a mark with his performance. The people were so impressed with his act that they could not help but stand and applaud him.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Varun will be seen next in Coolie No.1 which is slated to release on May 1, 2020, and Street Dancer 3D in which he reunites with Shraddha Kapoor.
