Lata Mangeshkar returns back home hale and hearty, 'overjoyed' Dilip Kumar tells 'choti behen' to take care

After 28 days, our Nightingale and Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar has returned home after a full recovery. She was diagnosed with pneumonia and was prescribed rest and physio. The entire team of doctors and nursing staff at Breach Candy hospital, Mumbai worked diligently.

Here is what Lata didi said on her returning home...   "Namaskaar, For the past 28 days, I was at Breach Candy hospital.. I was diagnosed with pneumonia. The doctors preferred that I extend my stay in hospital and go home when completely healthy. 
Today, I am back home with the blessings of Mai and Baba I have my deepest gratitude to all my well wishers all over. Your prayers and good wishes have worked and I humbly bow down to each one of you. My doctors at Breach Candy have been my guardian angels and I stand in eternal gratitude to each one of them. The nursing staff has been exceptional. A special thank you to the team of doctors who treated me with utmost care and love... Dr. Pratit Samdani, Dr. Ashwin Mehta, Dr. Zareer Udwadia, Dr Nishit Shah, Dr. Janardan Nimbolkar and Dr. Rajeev Sharma. Your endless love and blessings are precious. Thank you, again!"

Dilip Kumar was happy to hear the news as the actor tweeted, "Overjoyed to hear the good news that My ‘choti behen’ Lata, is feeling much better and is at her home now. Please take good care of yourself @mangeshkarlata"

Lata Mangeshkar, who turned 90 on September 28, became a recipient of India's highest civilian honour Bharat Ratna in 2001. She has recorded songs in over 36 Indian languages. Born on September 28, 1929, she has also been honoured with Dadasaheb Phalke Award and France's highest civilian award, Officer of the Legion of Honour, besides numerous national and international awards.
