The trailer of the upcoming comedy Good Newwz starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh, undoubtedly left the audience in splits with its quirky and hilarious storyline. This film which revolves around two couples opting for In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) to conceive their child, within a short span of time, became one of the highly awaited and anticipated ones, making it difficult to wait for it to hit the screens this Christmas. Now, as the release date is inching closer, the makers of Good Newwz have been keeping the excitement levels high by releasing an interesting range of posters and songs. After the peppy party song Chandigarh Mein, the team behind Good Newwz is all set to draw curtains from the second number titled Sauda Khara Khara today. The song, which is the remake version of Sukhbir's number by the same name, has generated a positive stir with the teaser and the audience has caught the attention of Akshay's quirky naagin dance step.
Talking about the same, director Raj Mehta said the song welcomes Akshay towards the end, where he breaks into a jig with a twisted naagin dance. “The song begins with Diljit making an entry as part of the bride’s entourage, while Kiara represents the groom’s side. Sukhbir paaji is seen as performing at the wedding. It is only towards the end of the song that Akshay arrives and breaks into a twisted naagin dance. He came up with the steps and we enjoyed shooting it, I hope that the audience also likes it,” Raj told.

Delving deeper into details of how the song came into conception, Raj said the original plan was to feature Diljit and Kiara in the video, but an excited Akshay volunteered to be a part of it too. Speaking further, Raj told Diljit being a popular Punjabi singer, he wanted the latter to sing his own lyrics with Sukhbir. This collaboration, in reality, was a sight to behold, gushed the director.
“I was looking for a song for a particular situation and when a team member played this track, I liked it. It was supposed to be filmed on Diljit Dosanjh, but when Akshay Kumar heard it, he wished to be part of it, too. Diljit is a popular singer and we thought that it was apt that he sings his part. It was a sight when Diljit and Sukhbir came face-to-face on the set. Diljit is a big fan of Sukhbir and he touched his feet as soon as he saw him,” Raj added.
Good Newwz is presented by Zee Studios, in association with Cape Of Good Films and is a Dharma Productions film. Directed by Raj, produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Shashank Khaitan, the film is set to release on December 27, 2019.
