It's not unknown that filmmaker Aanand L Rai and producer Bhushan Kumar have collaborated to make films, which are not only content-driven but are also backed by strong music. Now we hear that one of their upcoming productions will star Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey. Reportedly, the project, a romantic thriller, will be helmed by ad filmmaker-turned-director Vinil Mathew, who directed the romcom Hasee Toh Phasee six years ago.
“The makers thought a fresh pair would work in the film’s favour as it will keep the mystery element intact, since there will be no pre-conceived notions about them as a couple,” a leading daily quoted a source as saying. The film will apparently roll in January next year and will be shot in North though the exact location is yet to be finalised. “But since the story is set in that part of the country, the makers want to keep it authentic,” added the source.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Taapsee has wrapped up the Darjeeling schedule of her South film, an espionage thriller. Apart from that, she has Anubhav Sinha’s Thappad, Anurag Kashyap’s supernatural-thriller and Ronnie Screwvala’s Rashmi Rocket. Vikrant, on the other hand, will feature in Ginni Weds Sunny apart from Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak.
