Kamal Haasan Ungal Naan: Rajinikanth gives a glimpse into his four decade old friendship with the actor on the occasion of his 60 years in cinema

Superstar Kamal Haasan needs no introduction. Be it Hindi or Tamil, the actor has left his indelible mark throughout with sheer brilliance. With back to back films and pure classy entertainment, Kamal, this year completed 60 years in cinema earlier in November. Not just this, a few days after this milestone, he also celebrated his 65th birthday on November 7, 2019. And to mark the double celebration, the Ek Duuje Ke Liye held an event named Ungal Naan where the who's who of South film fraternity turned up in huge attendance to felicitate the superstar on the achievement. From Rajinikanth to A R Rahman and Ilaiyaraaja, celebrities and friends of Kamal cheered for his successful career in films at the event and cherished some beautiful memories from the past.

Rajinikanth and Kamal, who share a friendship that has stood the test of time for the last 43 years, greeted each other on the stage with a warm hug, leaving the spectators spellbound with their bond. Talking about their relationship, Rajinikanth heaped praises on Kamal and gushed about his innate acting skills. The Darbar star went on to say that there is nothing that Kamal doesn't know. "What more can I say about Kamal’s acting? I’ve seen him literally dislocate a shoulder during shooting, pull it back up with a towel and resume work because we had to wrap up the film fast. Such is his commitment to the craft. There is nothing he doesn’t know about, and yet people say they don’t understand him! We can wake someone who is sleeping, but what about those who are pretending to sleep? Even Rajinikanth can understand; how can you not?” Rajinikanth told.
