Kartik Aaryan has taken over the sequel of Akshay Kumar's 2007 horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will be directed by Anees Bazmee and will have Kartik and Kiara Advani in the lead. Now, we have learnt that the sequel will also feature Tabu in a special role.
“Tabu has been in talks with the makers for a while now. She loved the script and her role. She is expected to join the cast in January when the second three-month schedule kicks off in London and Rajasthan,” revealed a source close to the development.
In the 2017 horror-comedy, the Rohit Shetty-directorial Golmaal Again, Tabu played Anna Mathew who can interact with ghosts. “Though it’s the same genre, there’s nothing in common between the two films and Tabu’s character, too, is dramatically different and one of the USPs of the film,” the source added.
Buzz is, there’s a surprise twist to this one too. “But while Bhool Bhulaiyaa was a psychological-thriller with lots of laughs, the sequel is a proper horror-comedy with plenty of spooky moments,” informed the source.
