Kartik Aaryan is on a roll with hits like Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Luka Chhupi coming up tops this year. The actor has also amassed a crazy fan following and has found faith from the filmmakers who have roped him in to play Sanjeev Kumar’s role in the remake of Pati Patni Aur Woh. He also has bagged the sequel to Akshay Kumar’s hit film Bhool Bhulaiya and will be playing the lead in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 opposite Kiara Advani.
However, it was rumoured that he has also been approached to take on Akshay’s roel in Hera Pheri 3 but our exclusive sources denied this bit of news and now Kartik himself has come out and said that he is not taking on any of Akshay’s iconic roles in any of the remakes in an interview to a leading magazine. Talking about Akshay he said, “There can be only one Akshay Kumar. No one can replace him. I’ve been a huge fan of his. Bhool Bhulaiyaa is one of my favourite films. When I was offered the sequel, I jumped at the opportunity. It’s a hilarious script though I can’t talk about it.”
With this statement of Kartik we can rest assured that Kartik is not the new-age Akshay who will be seen stepping into his iconic roles as claimed by a few media houses. Hera Pheri that was directed by Priyadarshan and starred Akshay, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal in the lead will soon have a third installment in which the trio will once again reprise their iconic and well-loved roles.
