Official Making Video: Here’s how the historical festival was recreated for Mammootty's 'Mamangam'

Mammootty's Mamangam is set to recreate the legend of 'Chavers' (suicide warriors) from God's own country Kerala! The film which is being dubbed in Hindi, Tamil, Telegu, and Malyalam will show Mammootty as a mysterious character, in 3 never seen before avatars. Set in 1695, the film will showcase Kalari, The Indian Martial Art and the oldest martial art of the world.

In a behind-the-scenes video of the mega-budget historical drama, sneak peek is given into the huge effort that has gone into recreating Mamangam Mamangam, an ancient festival which is at the center of this film. The producers have spent a fortune in bringing back the festival of the 17th century, which took about seven months and 2500 men to build huge sets where the period film was shot.

The film will have a 12-year-old boy Achuthan who has 6 years of experience in Kalari, who plays a real character from history and performs spectacular stunts, a first in Indian Cinema. The makers have left no stones unturned to make Mamangam a grand visual delight for audiences all over the globe.

Prachi Tehlan, Unni Mukundan, Anu Sithara, and others are also the pasrt of the starcast. Kavya Film Company presents Mammootty in Mamangam: History of the Brave. Produced by Venu Kunnapilly and directed by M Padmakumar, the film is set to hit the silver screen on 21st November 2019.
