Ever since the upcoming film based on the LGBTQ+ community titled Sheer Qorma was announced, the anticipation surrounding this project kept avid cinema watchers waiting for further updates. With a stellar cast including Swara Bhasker, Shabana Azmi and Divya Dutta in the forefront, the film piqued the right amount of interest. And now, putting an end to the wait, the makers of Sheer Qorma, on Saturday, shared the first poster featuring Swara and Divya.
Speaking of the poster, it features Swara and Divya with their heads covered with dupattas as they hold each other's mehendi-clad hands lovingly. The poster speaks volumes of the love the characters share for each other, making it an important film with a heart-touching message. Swara, while sharing the poster of Sheer Qorma on Instagram, wrote, "So proud to play @farazarifansari ‘s gentle and shining Sitara in #sheerqorma the film.. The film is said to be a heart-touching narrative of the longing for love and acceptance, which is felt by the queer community within their households. The film tells the tale through the eyes of these courageous women. Sheer Qorma is directed by Faraz Arif Ansari, who previously directed the silent film, Sisak. In the film, Shabana plays the role of Divya's mother. It is produced by Marijke De Souza.
