'Every summer I would do a film in those two months,' says Mahesh Babu recalling his childhood stint as an actor

In a recent interview with Vogue India, Mahesh Babu opened up about what according to him, is the reason that he became a star. The actor fondly recalled that as a child he would regularly spend his summer holidays in Ooty along with his family. His father who was a megastar as well would shoot for a number of songs during those months. During one such time, the actor's father asked him to be a part of one of those films as a child actor and Mahesh ecstatically agreed. “Every summer I would do a film in those two months. My only training was the way my father made those films with me when I was a child star. It couldn’t have been done more beautifully.” shared the South star.

It was in the year 1999 that the actor made his official debut with the film Raja Kumarudu, which won him the State Nandi Award for Best Male Debut. This film also gathered for him immense love from the audience who sooner rather than later gave him the title of  “Prince of Tollywood.”

"I haven’t seen a more disciplined and dedicated person. He doesn’t settle for less. And he can balance work-life very well" added his wife Namrata who also happens to be his manager while talking about the actor's work-life balance.
