Will Priyanka Chopra Jonas don the hat of a director soon? Allow the actress to clarify

Priyanka Chopra Jonas is a bonafide global star. The actress, not just with her gorgeous looks but also with her natural acting ease has won over Bollywood as well as Hollywood. Now, as Priyanka is gearing up for her upcoming film, The Sky Is Pink, which marks her Bollywood comeback as an actress after three years and also her first Hindi language film as a producer, during an interview with media, opened up on her plans of directing a project. The actress, who made a transition from being an actress to a successful producer of the National Award-winning Marathi film Ventilator in 2016, told that direction makes her nervous, owing to the responsibilities that follow. She further added that like she moved to production, she will soon venture into direction too.

"It's something that makes me nervous because it's a lot of responsibility. But slowly, I have moved from acting to production and hopefully, I'll make that (directing films) transition too someday," Priyanka told.

Speaking of the film, The Sky Is Pink, it is based on the late motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary, who breathed her last in 2015 after suffering from pulmonary fibrosis, a respiratory disorder in which scars are formed in the lung tissues. Zaira Wasim plays the role of Aisha while Priyanka and Farhan Akhtar are Aditi and Niren Chaudhary respectively. The film is directed by Shonali Bose and bankrolled by Roy Kapur Film, in association with S K Global and Priyanka's production house Purple Pebble Pictures. It is scheduled to release on October 11, 2019.
