H4 Trailer Launch: Akshay Kumar takes a playful dig at Karni Sena on being asked if his Rajput act in the film will offend them

The makers of the highly anticipated comedy film Housefull 4 released the trailer at an event held in the city on Friday. In attendance at the event were the lead cast of the film namely Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, Riteish Deshmukh, Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Kriti Kharbanda and Chunky Panday along with its producer Sajid Nadiadwala. During the press interaction at the launch event, Akshay, who plays the role of Rajkumar Bala and Harry in the reincarnation drama that travels between two eras that are 1419 and 2019, upon being quizzed on what would his reaction be if Karni Sena draws any objection to his Rajput character from the past. The actor, while replying in a sporty manner, left the audience in splits with his response.

The actor, during the interview, playfully requested to the Karni Sena to not create any new trouble for the film and allow them to go home happily after enjoying a bout of their film's success. “Aapko shaanti acchi nahi lagti naa. Ismein koi problem nahi hai. Main aapse darkhwast karta hu, haath jodke vinti karta hu ki aisa kuch na kare. Acchi bhali aapki industry chal rahi hai aapne zabardasti kuch karna hai ismein. Karni Sena, in the past, steered controversy by raising objection on films like Padmaavat starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh along with the recently released Ayushmann Khurrana's Article 15. The group is infamous for raising objections and fighting for the appraisal of the Rajput community.

Speaking of Housefull 4, the film is a reincarnation drama that is set in two eras and cities that is 1419 in Sitamgarh and in London in 2019. The film is directed by Farhad Samji and is scheduled to release on October 25, 2019.
