I haven’t signed a Hindi film yet: Priyanka Chopra reveals she has 'no idea' about Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Gangubai Kothewali'

After he shelved In-sha-allah with Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt, everyone has been talking about Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming long-planned biopic Gangubai Kothewali on the legendary brothel madam who changed the face of Mumbai’s red-light area Kamathipura. While there have been reports that SLB will begin shooting the biopic next month with Alia Bhatt in the lead role, it was heard that the filmmaker was initially making the film with Priyanka Chopra and it was called Heera Mandi then.

During a recent interview, Priyanka was asked about the same and she quipped that she has 'no idea' about the project. "I haven’t signed a Hindi film yet because the two I’m doing in the US and the one I’m starting next year, are taking up my time. Now, it’s time to go shopping for the next film I’d want to do. I wanted to finish The Sky Is Pink first. I’m a fan of Sanjay Bhansali in whatever he makes, I’ll always be his fan," she told a leading daily.

We guess SLB will make the official announcement about his next project when he’s ready.

Coming back to Priyanka, the actress had announced earlier this year that she will be starring in Ma Anand Sheela's biopic, to be directed by Barry Levinson. When asked about the film adaptation of a 2018 documentary on the Rajneesh cult, PeeCee mentioned, "That’s another script we are developing. I am doing it with Barry Levinson who directed Rain Man. I will be producing it." Well, we are certainly looking forward to it.

Her Bollywood comeback project, Shonali Bose's The Sky Is Pink co-starring Farhan Akhtar, is slated to release on October 11.
