‘Can give it to you in writing that I'm going to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali very soon’, says Alia Bhatt on being quizzed about shelving of ‘Inshallah’

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah starring Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt might have got shelved but Alia had been clicked a number of times at the filmmaker’s office and now she has gone further and confirmed what we speculated before that she will “very soon” be working with the acclaimed director. At the recently concluded IIFA awards, the actress confirmed that she would soon be collaborating with the director on a project but refrained from giving out any deets.

She said, “I was very excited to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Salman as well, I believe sometimes certain things happen which are not in your control. They say if you want to make God laugh, tell them your plans. Plans never really go 'as per plan' but I can give it to you in writing that I am going to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali very soon.” Watch her here:

Inshallah was a co-production between Salman and Bhansali and it was after two decades that the actor-director were collaborating on the project but the film could not progress further due to creative differences between the two.

On the work front, Alia will be next seen in Brahmastra opposite Ranbir Kapoor. The film is directed by Ayan Mukerji and also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Dimple Kapadia. She also has SS Rajamouli’s RRR in her kitty as well as her father’s directorial comeback Sadak 2. Sadak 2 also stars Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Pooja Bhatt.
