Calling The Sky Is Pink 'labour of love', Priyanka Chopra Jonas pens an endearing note after the film's premiere at TIFF 2019


Priyanka Chopra Jonas, with Shonali Bose directed The Sky Is Pink is all set to make her Bollywood comeback after a gap of almost three years. The actress, who isn't just an actor in the film but a co-producer, along with her co-stars Farhan Akhtar and Rohit Saraf, joined by Shonali, attended the premiere of the film at Toronto International Film Festival 2019 and but obvious, she couldn't hold back her emotions. Priyanka, on Saturday, post the screening of The Sky Is Pink, penned a heartfelt note on her Instagram account and called the screening event an unforgettable experience. She further thanked Aditi Chaudhary and Niren Chaudhary, parents of late motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary, on whom the film is based on, for trusting the team with their daughter's tale and attending the screening.

Priyanka, on Instagram, shared some pictures with the team of The Sky Is Pink, including producers Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur, along with Aditi and Niren. "A special night with special people, sharing this labour of love which took us over a year to bring to life. It was an unforgettable experience.... Thank you Aditi and Niren for trusting us with your story and for joining us at #TheSkyIsPink world premiere at @tiff_net @shonalibose_ you are the true star of this film! #RonnieScrewvala #SiddharthRoyKapur, as always, it’s been amazing collaborating with you. We’ve done some great films together and this one definitely is up there with the rest of them for me," Priyanka wrote.

The Sky Is Pink is based on the late motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary, who breathed her last in 2015 after suffering from pulmonary fibrosis, a respiratory disorder in which scars are formed in the lung tissues.  Zaira Wasim plays the role of Aisha while Priyanka and Farhan are Aditi and Niren respectively. The film is bankrolled by Roy Kapur Film, in association with S K Global and Priyanka's production house Purple Pebble Pictures. It is scheduled to release on October 11, 2019.
