After building the right amount of anticipation around the film, the makers of Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf starrer The Sky Is Pink released the trailer on social media platforms on Tuesday. Directed by Shonali Bose, the film marks Priyanka's Bollywood comeback after three years. The film revolves around the Chaudhary family and traces the journey of Priyanka's and Farhan's adorable love story. Zaira plays the role of Aisha, a motivational speaker while the former actors are Aditi and Niren.
The trailer opens to Zaira's voiceover narrating Priyanka's and Farhan's sweet love story in their youth. Soon, we are introduced to Aisha, who is battling death as she suffers from pulmonary fibrosis, a respiratory disorder in which scars are formed in the lung tissues. Aisha considers herself to the 'villain' in her parents' love story. With Priyanka, like a doting mother, is extra protective about Zaira and wants the best for her. This, soon creates a rift between her and Farhan. As we proceed ahead, the family is seen bonding by taking a vacation by the beach. With this trailer, the lead actors assure the film to be a roller-coaster ride of emotions. Watch the video here:
The Sky Is Pink is directed by Shonali Bose. It is bankrolled by Roy Kapur Film, in association with S K Global and Priyanka's production house Purple Pebble Pictures. The film will be premiered at Toronto International Film Festival 2019 and will open at theatres on October 11, 2019.
