‘She had played badminton and is a good actor too’: PV Sindhu keen on Deepika Padukone playing her role in her biopic

Deepika Padukone, daughter of international badminton player Prakash Padukone, has had her own share of badminton before she joined Bollywood and became one of the finest actresses. Deepika was a National level Badminton player before she made her big Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan back in 2007 with Om Shanti Om. And now, looks like DP is all set to play the role of badminton champion PV Sindhu in her biopic. 

PV Sindhu recently said that she would love to see Deepika play her role in her biopic. Her interest in watching Deepika play her on the big screen comes after Sonu Sood bagged the rights to make a film on Sindhu. Sindhu spoke to a leading daily recently and said, "Would definitely want Deepika Padukone to play the character. She had played the game and is a good actor too. But then, the makers would take the final decision."

On the work front, Deepika wrapped Meghna Gulzar's Chaapaak recently. The film is all set to release on January 10, 2020. The actress has also been roped in for husband Ranveer Singh starrer '83 in which she will essay the role of Kapil Dev's wife - Rumi Dev. Directed by Kabir Khan, the film will release on April 10. 2020.
