KGF Chapter 2: The shooting of Yash’s and Sanjay Dutt’s film has been stopped following a court order

Prashanth Neel’s directorial KGF: Chapter 1 was a superhit and made Yash a household name in pan India. The film, which was primarily shot in Kannada was dubbed and released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam and received a stupendous response in all languages. The film’s success spurned a sequel too titled KGF: Chapter 2 and is being currently shot. However, trouble brewed for film as its shoot at Cyanide Hills has been stopped by the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) court in Kolar Gold Fields. The interim order was passed after a local resident named Srinivasa filed a petition stating that the team of KGF is causing environmental damage while shooting the film.

The court passed an interim order to stop KGF’s filming which has impacted the shoot of the film. The makers of KGF: Chapter 2 is yet to react to this latest controversy. Reportedly, the film crew erected huge sets for the film in Kolar Gold Fields as they began shooting early this month in Cyanide Hills.

Besides Yash, the film also stars Sanjay Dutt who plays an important character named Adheera. Talking about his character, Sanjay likened it to the Avengers’ villain Thanos and said, “Adheera's character is very powerful. If you have seen Avengers, you would know Thanos. So Adheera is like him. He is a very dangerous character with a dangerous get-up. And that's the zone I was looking for." The film also stars Srinidhi Shetty.
