Karan Deol and I didn’t speak for a month during prep: Sahher Bambba on her ‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’ co-starar

Sahher Bambba is all set to make her Bollywood debut in Sunny Deol’s directorial Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas that is also a launchpad for his son Karan Deol. Sahher caught Sunny’s eye when she won the Mumbai finals of OPPO Bombay Times Fresh Face 2016 and went through four rounds of auditions to land the role. In her first interview to a leading daily, the debutante actress spoke about how she struck a friendship with her director first instead of her co-star.

Talking about Sunny, she said, “From our first meeting itself, Sunny sir made me feel comfortable. I can talk to him about anything and everything. But when I met Karan at the office, he came across as shy and reticent, and I am a reserved girl too. When we went to Manali for the prep, we didn’t speak to each other for a month. I tried to strike a rapport, but I don’t think Karan liked me much. It was only when Sunny sir flew down to Mumbai for a day, that we all let our hair down and partied together and the ice was broken. Both Sunny sir and Karan are family today, one a father figure, the other a friend for life.”

Karan was quick to add and explain his behaviour too during the interview. He said, “I was in my own zone and I didn’t care.” Sahher also spoke about Sunny and said, “I feel there are two of Sunny sir; one on-the-shoot and other away-from-the-shoot. The former is serious and particular about what he wants. The one after work and during breaks is great fun.”

Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas is a romantic film and is slated to release on September 20.
