Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s next to tell the story of India's first IT couple, Narayana and Sudha Murthy?

After making her directorial debut with Nil Battey Sannata, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari helmed Ayushmann Khurrana, Kriti Sanon and Rajkummar Rao-starrer rom com Bareilly Ki Barfi, which got her appreciation from the audience and critics alike. The filmmaker has already wrapped her third directorial Panga, which features Kangana Ranaut in the lead as a kabaddi player. Now as she awaits the release of Panga next year during the Republic Day weekend, we hear that Ashwiny already has her next project in mind.

According to a report in a leading daily, Ashwiny is keen to make a film on Infosys co-founder NR Narayana Murthy and his philanthropist wife Sudha Murthy. The project will apparently be jointly bankrolled by Mahaveer Jain, Sanjay Tripathy, Ashwiny and her filmmaker-husband Nitesh Tiwari, who is currently busy with his upcoming film, Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer Chhichhore. “She has already started researching Indian IT’s first couple because she wants to have all the facts right before she dives into this inspiring story. The film is expected to roll next year. Sanjay Tripathy (writer-director) came up with the idea and scripting will begin soon,” the daily quoted a source as saying.

For the unversed, Narayana Murthy and Sudha Murthy are considered Indian IT’s first couple for their contribution to the industry. The former is the founder of IT company Infosys that was established in the year 1981. He served as the CEO of the company from 1981-2002 and went on to become its chairman in the year 2011. Both Narayana and Sudha are the recipients of Padma Shri by the Indian government. Murthy, who is served the title of ‘father of the Indian IT sector’ by TIME Magazine, has also been felicitated by Padma Vibhushan by the government.

If it all goes well, we cannot wait to witness their inspiring journey in Ashwiny's next.
