‘No, I would not’, says Deepika Padukone when asked about working with a man accused of sexual harassment

Deepika Padukone was recently in the news for signing Luv Ranjan’s next directorial opposite Ranbir Kapoor. As soon as the news broke on the internet, fans of Deepika took to Twitter and started trending #NotMyDeepika urging the actress to reconsider her collaboration with Ranjan who was accused of sexual harassment by a woman during the #MeToo movement last year. However, the case was not taken forward as the woman’s claim was found to be lacking substantial proof.

Now, during a recent interview with a magazine, Deepika was asked if she would work with someone accused of sexual harassment. To which the actress replied in the negative and said, “No! I would not." The actress’ stance will definitely give her fans a huge sigh of relief who did not want Deepika to brush under the carpet a serious allegation, the way many in Bollywood have done. She was recently spotted outside Ranjan’s office along with Ranbir that started the rumours.
