'There is no problem between us, we are planning a film together': Akshay Kumar rubbishes rumours of a rift with Bhushan Kumar

In 2017, T-series honcho announced the the ambitious Gulshan Kumar biopic, titled Mogul, with Akshay Kumar in the lead. The first look poster of the film was unveiled as well and fans were excited to see Akshay step into a new avatar. However, due to reasons unknown, Akshay eventually walked out of Mogul, leaving Bhushan and the makers in a lurch. Ever since then, there have been reports of a tiff between Akshay and Bhushan. Moreover, Bhushan's decision to release Satyameva Jayate alongside Akki’s Gold on August 15, 2018 followed by the announcement to release Prabhas' Saaho alongside Akshay’s Mission Mangal this Independence Day weekend, further added fuel to the fire. Not just that, Bhushan said in an interview that he would get a bigger star than Akshay for the film.

Now in an interaction with a leading daily, Akshay rubbished rumours of a tiff between him and Bhushan and claimed that there is no problem between them. "There's no problem between us at all. Bhushan ji had come over to my office a couple of days ago and we're planning a film together," Akshay was quoted as saying. Well, we are certainly delighted to hear that and cannot wait for the actor-producer duo to work together once again.

Meanwhile, speaking on Mogul, Bhushan told a news agency that it is his dream project and he is in no hurry to make it. "The biopic is on track and in two months, I will be announcing the names of the actors as well as the director. I have everyone on board. And to do full justice to my father, the lead actor needs time to transform himself into the character. I can't reveal much now, but I am happy that film is happening," he said. Bhushan is aiming to release the biopic by 2021 or 2022, for sure.

Meanwhile, Akshay is awaiting the release of Mission Mangal, which release on August 15. He also has Bachchan Pandey, Laxmmi Bomb, Sooryavanshi, Housefull 4, Ikka and Good News, in the pipeline.
