Govinda claims he suggested the title ‘Avatar’ to James Cameron and rejected a role in the film; Twitter has a field day coming up with jokes and memes

This piece of news will rattle you to your core and will make you question your own sanity. Remember James Cameron’s film Avatar, the one with the Na’avi people with god-like physique and nature and blue skin that stayed the No.1 grossing film till 2019 when Avengers: Endgame dethroned it after its second release. Apparently, Govinda was offered the film but he rejected it as he was not comfortable wearing blue paint. He also claimed that he came up with the title of the film.

The actor has claimed that he was offered the role in the blockbuster film but he rejected it as he did not want to apply paint on his body for the shooting. In an interview, Govinda said, “I gave the title of the film (Avatar). It turned out to be a super hit film. I had informed him (James Cameron, the director of Avatar) that the film will do really well."

He further added, “I told him that I feel it will take seven years for him to complete the film. He got angry. When I said so, he asked, How can you be so sure that I won't be able to make Avatar for seven years?' I told him that what he was imagining was something almost impossible. That he has named his film 'Avatar', but he is showing aliens."
